Companies According to Turnovers
Annual turnover is less than R 10 million
– Exempt Micro Enterprise (EME).
Black is defined as any African, South African Citizen, Indian, Coloured and Chinese.
51% Black owned EME companies, 125% BEE Procurement Recognition : Level 2
100% Black owned EME companies, 135% BEE Procurement Recognition : Level 1
51% White owned EME companies, 100% BEE Procurement Recognition : Level 4
Anual turnover is between R 10 million and R 50 million
– Qualifying Small Enterprise(QSE)
Annual turnover exceeds R 50 million
– Generic Enterprise(GE).
Levels and Score card
Level 1 : 100 points and above then 135% procurement Recognition
Level 2 : 85 to 99.99 points then 125% procurement Recognition
Level 3 : 75 to 84.99 points then 110% procurement Recognition
Level 4 : 65 to 74.99 points then 100% procurement Recognition , from this level above you are fully complaint.
Level 5 : 55 to 64.99 then 80% procurement Recognition
Level 6 : 45 to 54.99 then 60% procurement Recognition
Level 7 : 40 to 44.99 then 50% procurement Recognition
Level 8 : 30 to 39.99 then 10% procurement Recognition
Below 30% you are non-compliant no procurement recognition
The BEE certificate is renewable every financial year end based on the five pillars above the status level is determined.
